POST 2 :THE BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE ... (UNTIL NOW ...)

HI FRIENDS!

IN THIS POST I WILL TELL YOU A PRETTY EXPERIENCE THAT I HAD WITH A CONCERT.

IN MY LIFE, I DIDN'T GO TO MANY CONCERTS (AS PUBLIC)

I GENERALLY PLAY  WITH OTHER MUSICIANS, BANDS, ORCHESTS, ROPE ROOMS, ETC.

BUT ONE YEAR AGO, I WAS SOMETHING INCREDIBLE.

I KNEW A CALLED SAXOPHONIST CRISTIAN GALLARDO IN A "CANCHEO". AFTER WE MADE VERY FRIENDS, AND HE REQUESTED ME TO GO  TO HIS BAND TO TRY A NEW SONG WITH VIOLIN.

WHEN I ARRIVED I LEARNED THAT HIS BAND WAS "CÓMO ASESINAR A FELIPES" !!!!!! ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHILEAN BANDS.

ALMOST DIED FROM THE EMOTION, BUT I ACTED VERY NORMAL TO NOT BE PATHETIC.

AFTER THAT, I WAS INVITED TO RECORD IN THAT SONG, WHIT MY BEST  FRIEND MARINA. SHE PLAYS THE VIOLONCHELO.

IT HAPPENS TO LONG TIME, AND A MONTH AGO APPROXIMATELY, IT WAS LAUNCHING THAT DISK.

I WAS INVITED ME TO PLAY TOGETHER WITH THEM.

IT WAS MY DREAM !!!

PLAY MY VIOLIN WITH MY FAVORITE BAND!

NOW THEY ARE MY FRIENDS AND THEY CONTINUE TO INVITE ME TO PLAY WITH THEM.

FOR THIS REASON, THAT WAS THE BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE, BUT I BELIEVE IT WILL NOT BE THE LAST.

POST 1: THE COUNTRY THAT I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT...

Hi Friends!

In this post, I am going to tell you about the country that I would most like to visit.

My dream is really to be able to travel all over the world playing my violin and to be able to deliver my music without idiomatic, political or religious borders.

It is a very hippie dream.

But the sad reality is that I am a poor student of arts in Chile ...

The good news is that dreaming is still free.

For this reason I want to tell you that my dream is to travel to Greece.

I have seen that place on television and I think it is a beautiful place that has everything I would like to visit if one day I manage to go.

It is a place with beautiful architecture, a lot of history.

"The cradle of western civilization"

I would like to know Acropolis of Athens, the Parthenon, the island of Crete, the black sand beaches, Meteora, Oya, etc.

Uff !! Many things.

In addition to knowing the culture of that place today and try all the typical foods.

In general It was not easy for me to learn.

The hardest thing for me was wake up early... and the pronuntiation

I would like to learn to speak English fluently.

For me it would be easier and friendly to learn English if the teacher is cool and empathetic.

POST 10... SUMMARY OF MY SEMESTER...

Hi, little friends! How are you?

In this post I going to talk about what my year has been like until now.

As a general balance, I could say that it has been good.

For many reasons.

One of the main reasons has been love.

At the end of last year I hated playing the violin.

I was very unmotivated with everything I was doing in my life.

I did not like music anymore and I did not like the violin either.

But I started playing in a band, where I met a person who is now my boyfriend.

He helped me fall in love again with my instrument.

After that, everything has been a lot of musical learning.

I'm playing in many bands, and I enjoy being a musician.

But not everything has been so good.

I think it's because of the natural balance of life.

My boyfriend has a strange disease that is very painful. and has a life expectancy of 15 years more.

To think about that makes me sad, but we love each other and while we are together we will continue making music and drinking beer.

This is my story.

I hope that all of you do very well in this end of the semester.

POST 9... "CANTATA SANTA MARÍA DE IQUIQUE"

Hello dear classmates!

In this post with a free theme I decided to talk about the “Cantata Santa Maria de Iquique.”

You probably know her.

It is a beautiful musical work and at the same time sad because it tells a sad fact that happened in our country.

This cantata was composed in 1969 by the Chilean composer Luis Advis  and was interpreted by the Chilean band called Quilapallún.

In this musical work is narrated the terrible massacre that occurred in 1907 at the Santa Maria de Iquique School.

the story is overwhelming because of the cruelty and injustice of the facts.

the Cantata Santa Maria de Iquique is a really complex and wonderful work, it contains the influence of Chilean folk music and classical music. in addition to a narrator who tells the story in between instrumental interventions.

It is a work that makes me cry with emotion and anger every time I listen to it because it contains a very powerful message.

100 years after the massacre a group of musicians from Chilean rock bands paid homage to the cantata and performed a version called Cantata rock Santa Maria de Iquique.

POST 8... THE MOST INTERESTING PART OF THIS SEMESTER...

Hello, dear partners!

In this publication I will tell you the most interesting thing I have learned this semester.

The truth is that this semester I have not learned anything interesting in college.

everything I've learned this year has been thanks to the people I've met to work on different musical projects outside the university.

Lately I have been working on the production of many albums and collaborating with many outstanding artists from the world of Chilean popular music.

The most important thing I have learned this year have been many things regarding the way of playing new music.

First, I had to learn a lot about European, Arabic, Indian folklore, etc. to play in bands of world music.

I had to learn to play gypsy music.

I had to learn a lot about Latin American music.

and the most difficult thing for me has been learning to improvise and compose especially that kind of music.

This whole learning process has been very fun.

And soon we will release an album with my bands.

POST 5... MY FAVOURITE PHOTO.

I going to write a post that was pending since a few weeks ago.

It's my favourite photo.

This photo was taken exactly on december 26th of last year.
We had a party after a friend´s work to celebrate Christmas.

It was taken in a photo studio of a friend. he took it with a professional camera.

In this photo I'm with my boyfriend drinking beers.

The idea of this photo was to give it to somo bandmates as a gift to inaugurate their new home.
As a joke.

I really like this picture because after all that party and the photo session, my love relationship began with the person that appears in the photo.

I use it as a profile picture of my social networks.

I think it captured our true essence as people and as good life partners.

I´m very happy and we always drink beer.

Hello!!

For this post, I decided talk about a brilliant violinist (in my opinion).
Her name Janine Jansen,and I think that she is one of the best violinist in those time.

Janine Jansen is a violinist and violist. She was born in 1978 in Soest in the Netherlands.
She was born into a musicians' family.
She started her violin studies when she was 6 years old.

Janine  Jansen emerged in 2001 as a sloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, where she performed the violin concert of Brahms. She opened the BBC Proms, in 2005.

She has a very special way of playing the violin.
For this reason she is a reference for me in may career.

She doesn´t play like all violinists. She is very strong in her interpretations and that makes me admire her much more.

She is very beautiful and talented .

 My fvourite performance of Janine Jansen is the concert for violin and orchestra of Max Bruch.

I think that It´s one of the best.
In this performance, Jansen can demonstrate all her passion and strength as violinist. Also, that concert is very beautiful.

SOMNAMBULISM

Hi friends!!

In this post I going to talk about a sleep disorder that I have suffered since I was a girl.
It`s called "somnambulism".

The somnambulism consists basically of walking or doing activities while your sleep.

Sometimes, this sleep disorder can be dangerous, because I could do something dangerous for me or fall down the stairs, etc.

But if I was sleep with someone can be very funny... for this person. Not for me because a I don`t remember anything.

People have told me some anecdotes about my dialogues while I sleep.
They say I can keep long and funny conversations about a serious topic or incoherent topic.

Once, I was very tired and hungry after a rehearsal. My boyfriend prepared a sandwich to me and I eated this, but I was sleeping all the time.

On another occasion, I woke up and in my bed there was coffee, sugar and a spoon. I was sleeping in all that. In the morning, my grandmother told me that during the night I walked asleep and wanted to prepare a breakfast. I almost put water on my bed but she stopped me.

Thats was very funny too.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE

Hello!!!

I going to talk about my favourite Movie.
Last year, I went with my sister to the Cine Arte Normandie to see a movie called "Isle of dogs". Is an American animated and comedy film from 2018, directed by Wes Anderson and made using the stop motion technique.
It`s very funny and have a very beautiful story.
My sister and I love the dogs.

I like to see every kinds of movies. Since Disney`s movies to adult movies.
I like the stories and I put very attention to the music and photografy.

The movies that I like least, are the horror movies, because later, I have many nightmares.

The last movie I saw was "Avenger Endgame", I recommend it because it's very funny and exciting. All the characters of the Marvel Saga appear in the movie. Even though it lasts three hours, people dont get bored, because interesting things always happen.
Photography and music are very good.And Stan Lee appears for the last time.

I don`t have a favourite piece of technology, because in difficult to me learn to use that.
But daily , the piece of technology that I more use  is my cellphone.

I have a modern cellphone since 2015 because I was out of fashion with my brick.

Sadly, I use the cellphone all day, for importants things like calling poeple  by work, see map, read the news. and for not importants thing like watching memes.

I like cellphone because I can talk with many people at same time, I can send memes, music, photos, videos, I watch series on netflix since my cellpohne, etc.

I think that is possible a life without cellphone but the young people must learn to live without that like the old people does since thirty years ago. the people must learn to be punctual and talk with other people personally.

My career is called violin musical performance.

I am currently studying at the University of Chile.

But until three years ago I was studying the same degree at the university.

I decided to study this career because since I was a child I realized that I could understand music in a different way than other children of my age.

I always wanted to be a violinist.

I never had other options.

My experience was very difficult because I did not have financial help. That's why I switched universities.

But I have also had good experiences.

I have learned a lot, I have played in many important theaters, I have traveled a lot and I have known very good friends.

My projections are to continue playing violin, travel and be free thanks to music.

My name is Yanara Quintana, but my friends call me Quintrala. This Nickname was given to me al school.
I was born in 1990 in Santiago of Chile and I have never lived in another city. But I've had the good fortune to travel over all Chile.
I studied Volín in Universidad Mayor until 2016 and then I continued my studies in Universidad de Chile until now. Always Violin!
About my family, I have one brother and one sister, younger than me. My Sister´s called Karla, She is twenty four years old and she studies architecture in Universidad de Chile. My brother ´s called Ricardo, He is seventeen years old and he is in his last year of school.
I don´t have a mother but my father is mother and father at the same time.
I have many hobbies. In my free time I like to read books, swim, play electric bass and drink beer.
